On January 31, the acceptance inspection of the transport packaging set (TUK), which will be used at the Turkish Akkuyu NPP, was successfully completed. The container weighing almost 100 tons is designed for transportation and storage of spent nuclear fuel from VVER-1200 reactors.
Representatives of the Turkish Nuclear Regulatory Agency, Akkuyu NPP, Rostechnadzor, the developer and supplier participated in the inspection. During the month, specialists assessed the quality and compliance of the manufactured equipment with the specified parameters. As a result, a certificate of acceptance tests was signed, confirming the technical readiness of the TUK for operation.
