In the issue of preserving human life and health, the main role is played, of course, by doctors who are able to make quick decisions in any situation. And when the bill runs for hours and even minutes, emergency response teams, including air ambulance, provide invaluable assistance to doctors. Under the leadership of the Ministry of Health of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Nizhny Novgorod Disaster Medicine Center is engaged in sanitary and aviation evacuation in our region. Recently, sanitary and aviation evacuation has become possible on the territory of the Kulebaki city. Ruspolimet JSC provides a helicopter landing pad equipped according to all norms and standards around the clock.
Emergency evacuation of patients by helicopter allows them to provide high-tech assistance in the first hours after the onset of the disease. In accordance with the rule of the "golden hour" that exists among doctors, assistance provided during this time interval gives the highest chances of salvation. Helicopters, unlike ambulances, are not afraid of such transport problems as long-term traffic jams or the lack of ground communication between settlements in remote regions. Such emergency measures have a positive effect on the favorable outcome of the disease and help the patient return to a full life.
- In order to preserve the life and health of patients and reduce the time of their delivery to regional medical centers, especially in winter due to poor transport accessibility, it became necessary to use air ambulance helicopters in our work, - comments Alexander Alekseevich BOLTENKO, chief physician of the Kulebak CRH. - An agreement has been reached with the management of Ruspolimet JSC on the use of the landing site located on the territory of the enterprise. Sanitary evacuation is carried out by helicopters of the Nizhny Novgorod Disaster Medicine Center around the clock. Currently, two domestic Ansat helicopters are located at the center, equipped with the necessary equipment to support life, provide medical care and monitor the patient's condition.
We turn to our Nizhny Novgorod colleagues for help when the patient's health condition requires the active intervention of doctors from regional medical institutions, in particular, the Nizhny Novgorod Clinical Hospital named after N.A.Semashko. There are medics on board the helicopters who provide the necessary assistance before arriving at the hospital.
One of the main problems of sanitation is that you can't just pick up and land a rescue helicopter anywhere. For such purposes, a helipad is needed that meets the special safety requirements for takeoff and landing. To land the helicopter, the pilot needs an empty space where there are no wires, billboards and tall buildings.
- The landing site of JSC Ruspolimet has been documented in accordance with Order No. 449 of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation "On Approval of the procedure for the development and application of the aeronautical passport of the airfield (heliport, landing site) of civil aviation," says Sergey Alexandrovich SKOTNIKOV, Head of the Regime Control Department, Senior Aviation Chief of JSC Ruspolimet. - All the necessary information about our landing site (technical specifications, location, navigation properties, etc.) is in the Aeronautical Information Collection (AIP), which is used by pilots for safe flight. We are obliged to coordinate all flights over the territory of the district with the Savasleiki airbase, since the airspace belongs to it, therefore we constantly keep in touch with its air traffic controllers. If air ambulance pilots need additional information, for example, on meteorological conditions, we request it from the aviation base.
I believe that the management of the enterprise made the right decision by agreeing on the provision of services for the reception and departure of aircraft from the landing site of Ruspolimet JSC. We have to help each other. If we save at least one human life, it will be good.
The landing site of Ruspolimet JSC is located in close proximity to the Kulebak CRH, so transporting patients to the landing site of an ambulance helicopter takes little time. Employees of the regime control department of Ruspolimet JSC are ready to open the gates for ambulances at any time. The site is equipped according to all necessary requirements, which means that landing here is safe. At night, the playground is illuminated, and in winter it is constantly cleared of snow.
